HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hi friends!  I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and that Santa was good to you, too!  Look at my new bike!  My big brother got one too and they came with cool helmets for when we race!  It won't be long!

So this New Year's Eve thing is baffling to me.  From what I understand, people gather to party, stay up late and plan wonderful things for the year ahead.  People, people, people....we should do this every DAY, not just once a year!

Why not celebrate EVERY day with friends and family and what's wrong with resolutions for each step along the way?  It works for me!!  As for the staying up late part, well, I'm in negotiations with Mom on that one.

I should be getting my new glasses soon!  Thanks to the help of all the eyeglass elves!  Mom noticed that my depth perception is a little off without my glasses.  Sometimes I stop at small curbs or steps and crawl down backwards.  If you have fallen as often as I have, you learn to be a bit cautious!  Hope the new specs help!

By the way, another major success!  I can drink from a straw!  I'm 26 months old and ready for milkshakes...bring them on!  Ok, ok, soy milkshakes will work, too, Mom!  Just add chocolate and I'm good.

Have a safe and amazing New Year's everybody!
I've gotta run...it's time for me to work on my bucket list...for tomorrow!  Each day of 2013 I plan on giving my family and doctors plenty of reasons to celebrate!!

Hi and Merry Christmas everybody!  Check this out!  Look who is playing cars now (with sound effects) and has his hands open like we have worked so hard on!  Yay!  Will now move our focus from Physical Therapy to more Occupational Therapy.  Also scheduled for an EEG in January to check for any sign of sleep seizures.  This ought to be fun, I hear I need to stay up all night and party the night before to be good and sleepy.  Ready when you are, Mom!!

Since I wrote you last, amazing miracles have happened!  You're never going to believe this one!  This crazy bunch of "eyeglass elves" started delivering envelopes to my Mom and Dad with little bits of money in them to donate for my new glasses!  It has been an honest-to-goodness Christmas blessing!  Letters and poems and pictures!  All sorts of love and support that really took us all by surprise!  Who knew there were so many sneaky and completely wonderful elves out there?  Even more important than the money for my new glasses is the feeling that there is such an overwhelming amount of support out there.  Here is a picture of some of the love we received!  Also, one of my Mom's customers delivered a REAL eyeglass elf!  So funny!
THANK YOU ALL, WHOEVER YOU ARE!  ELVES ROCK!!  I'M A BELIEVER!!

A special message from me to you.  With all the sadness and heartache this week in the news about the sweet children and teachers in Connecticut, it's important to focus on the vast amount of GOOD in the world.  Our thoughts and prayers are with every single one of those affected by this tragedy, which boils down to all of us.  PLEASE remember to treasure the GOOD and HAPPY things this Christmas. Hug all your kids and each other for me, OK?  "God Bless Us, Every One!"

DOG DAYS OF WINTER?

THE DOG ATE MY GLASSES!  Mom was NOT happy as they are about $300 to replace!  Ouch.  Just in time for Christmas.  Not good.  Gramma thinks I paid the puppy to do it because I hate wearing them so much.  I'm innocent I tell you!  Mom thinks they were stolen off my high chair and therefore smelled like a snack.  She often wonders how can puppies (and little boys) be so cute and yet cause so much mischief?

I think I look pretty good without the darn things, anyway!  Don't you?  Say Cheeeeeeeese!
